Chrome and Edge extension
The AutoLens Chrome extension is a browser extension that captures a vehicle from your own dealership website and syncs it to your AutoLens dashboard. It is listed on the Chrome Web Store as “AutoLens — Website to Marketplace”.
From there, AI writes the listing description from that vehicle’s specs. The extension then prepares the Facebook Marketplace listing in your own browser for you to review or publish. It works in Chrome and Microsoft Edge and needs an AutoLens account.
Add the extension from the Chrome Web Store, then sign in with your AutoLens account.
Go to a vehicle on your own dealership website and press Scan. The details are read from the page you’re looking at.
The vehicle lands in your AutoLens inventory with a readiness badge that says what Facebook Marketplace still needs.
The extension fills in the Marketplace listing form in your browser. Your dealership chooses whether it publishes or stops for a person to check first.
Whatever your vehicle page publishes, from its structured data first and the visible page second.
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| Browser | Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on a desktop or laptop. Firefox and mobile browsers are not supported. |
| Account | An AutoLens account. Every plan includes the extension, starting with the Extension plan. |
| Website | Vehicle pages on a website you own or are authorized to advertise from. |
| Your own Facebook account, signed in, in the same browser. |
To read a vehicle page, the extension needs permission to access the page you’re on. It uses that access when you press Scan, and on the Facebook Marketplace pages it helps you fill in.
It stores your sign-in and your capture queue in the browser, and sends captured vehicles to your AutoLens account. It does not sell data or use it for advertising. The details are in the AutoLens privacy policy.
Worth knowing before you decide, not after.
It is built for your own inventory. Competitor sites and other marketplaces are not a supported use.
Captured vehicles sync to an AutoLens account; the extension on its own doesn’t store an inventory.
Chrome and Edge on a computer only, for now.
Sold units stop being prepared again, but removing a live Marketplace listing is still done by hand.
Install the extension, open a vehicle page on your website, and press Scan.
