Cookie Policy

Every cookie and browser-storage item AutoLens sets, or lets a provider set, on autolenstudios.com and in the AutoLens dashboard. Essential items keep the site working and are always on. Optional items (analytics and advertising) are off until you turn them on.
1.Essential
Needed for sign-in, your region and remembering your cookie choice. Always on.
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| alToken | Cookie (HttpOnly) | Keeps you signed in to AutoLens. | Up to 30 days |
| autolense_token | Browser storage | Keeps the web dashboard signed in. | Until you sign out |
| al_region | Cookie | Remembers which regional site (Canada / Brazil) to show. | 30 days |
| al_consent | Browser storage | Remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask again. | 12 months, then we ask again |
| al-chat:<dealer> | Session storage (this tab) | Keeps your chat with a dealer open on its inventory page. | Until you close the tab |
| Google Sign-In | Third-party cookies (google.com) | Set by Google only if you choose “Continue with Google”. | Set by Google |
| Stripe Checkout | Third-party cookies (stripe.com) | Set on Stripe’s own checkout page when you pay. AutoLens does not load Stripe scripts on its site. | Set by Stripe |
2.Functional
Small conveniences that never leave your browser. Always on.
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| autolense_budget_banner_dismissed_at | Browser storage | Hides the usage-budget warning in the dashboard for 24 hours after you dismiss it. | 24 hours |
| al_ads_optout | Browser storage | Remembers that you opted out of marketing measurement (older setting, still honoured). | Until cleared |
3.Analytics
Off until you allow “Analytics”.
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| HeyCatch visitor id | Browser storage | Counts visits to our marketing pages, without knowing who you are. Only after you allow analytics. | Set by HeyCatch |
4.Advertising measurement
Off until you allow “Advertising”. No ad profiles and no retargeting.
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| al_attr | Browser storage | Remembers which campaign link brought you to our site, sent with a demo request or sign-up. Only after you allow advertising measurement. | 90 days |
| Google Ads / Analytics cookies | Third-party cookies | Measures whether our ads lead to demo requests and sign-ups, on marketing pages only. Only after you allow advertising measurement. | Set by Google |
5.Browser signals
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are always honoured: when your browser sends either, no optional item runs, whatever you chose. Optional measurement never runs in Brazil or inside the signed-in dashboard. A choice lasts 12 months, then we ask again.
More on what we collect and why is in the Privacy Policy.
