Local buyers browse Facebook Marketplace for vehicles the same way they browse it for everything else: by location, price and photos. For a dealership that means every unit on the lot is a listing someone has to build by hand.
Building one is slow. The year, make, model, trim, mileage, price and equipment already sit on your website, but Marketplace wants them typed again. The photos have to be downloaded and uploaded again. The description has to be written again. Multiply that by a lot’s worth of inventory and it becomes the job nobody on the sales floor wants.
Then the listings have to be managed: which units are up, which are still drafts, which went up weeks ago and need attention, and which salesperson put each one there. Most dealers track that in a spreadsheet, or not at all.
